There is a Pope in the Cars universe. This means that there is Catholic Christianity, which means there was a Jesus car who was crucified. Jesus Chrysler was crucified by car Romans under Pontiac Pilot who washed his wheels. A car was nailed to a cross and ascended to Heaven.

Disney recycled scenes to save time.

And people are bashing Frozen because…?

to save time? it was to save MONEY. back in what we now call the “Disney Dark Ages” they did not have the funds to be able to create everything from scratch, so scenes, character models, backgrounds, etc would be xeroxed. traditional animation is EXPENSIVE. a lot of original cels do not exist anymore because they had to use the cel sheets over and over!
a big reason why people shit on Frozen using the same design on three different characters and not for xeroxing back in the day is because Disney, in this day and age, as one of the wealthiest corporations in the world, ABSOLUTELY has the funds to not need to re-use the same model over and over.
The Aristocats and The Jungle Book had a budget of $4 million. Robin Hood's budget was 1.5 million. The Rescuers was a measly 1.2 million.
The budget for Frozen was $150 million. It made $1,263,716,698 at the box office. Disney, in 2014, with all it’s money and skilled employees, has NO excuse for re-using designs.

Just going to throw out there that if Disney reused rock and tree models between Tangled and Frozen no one would really care, because it’s really common to reuse scenery props in live action film. The issue is reusing character parts because the characters are the actual point of the story? Not to mention the recent upsetness involves the fact that they used a Rapunzelesque face for a character who is Asian in the original canon

to be honest i get confused when people talk about how great Orphan Black is in terms of representation

like… this is the show where ALL of the characters of color are some combination of marginal, dead, tragic, absent, abusive, or subservient to the white characters (post doesn’t include Alison’s friend Meera, played by Priya Rao). like i’ve said before, this show has truly made casting only white people for the significant roles into an art

but then i remember that for queer white fangirls, good representation never includes people of color. it’s all about white queerness, and we don’t just cast everyone else aside but actually stomp them down so that we can get higher up

you only have to look at how the most beloved character in the fandom seems to be Cosima the anti-black little shit. and her appropriation of a Black hairstyle is part of the REASON people like her (because “it’s so sexy and edgy and just looks so good on her” -___-)
